A practice-oriented seminar “Content and search opportunities of EBSCO databases in the information provision of scientific and educational community” will take place in the Library on February 16.
The National Library of Belarus and the company EBSCO Information Services organize the event.
The company EBSCO Information Services is one of the leading international suppliers of scientific electronic resources (electronic books, magazines, patents and search engines) for natural, exact, humanitarian sciences and medicine.
The seminar includes a report of the director on the regional development in Russia, Belarus and Moldova Andrey Sokolov who will present to participants an overview of the content of EBSCO Premier databases available in the virtual reading room of the National Library of Belarus, and will get acquainted with functions of the platform EBSCOhost, algorithms and information search in databases and peculiarities of the search platform EBSCO Discovery Service.
The work of the administration module EBSCOhost will be presented, which will let employees of the Library effectively use the content of electronic resources in the information user service.
We invite to participate a wide circle of EBSCO and other electronic information resources users, the virtual reading room of the National Library of Belarus partners, and specialists from other Belarusian libraries and information centres, administrators of the platform EBSCOhost.
The event takes place in the international press-centre (3rd floor, room 308).
The registration of participants: 13.30–14.00.
The seminar time: 14.00–16.30.
