The National Library of Belarus is editing the second issue of the scientific-practical annual collection “The Library Bulletin”.


We are searching for partners among specialists in librarianship, information technologies and allied sciences and also professors, post-graduate and master’s degree students, and cultural authorities.

Authors submit for consideration articles on library law and legal control of library activities, information resources development and access, library collections safekeeping, library, information, and social and cultural user service, implementation of modern technologies for library activities, holding and coordination of research studies, library management, library education in Belarus etc.

Scientific papers executed independently, having scientific validity and novelty and issued with observance of the established requirements are accepted to publication. Original articles that have not been published before are a subject to publication only.

Submitted scientific papers are reviewed by doctors or candidates of science appointed by the editorial board.

The article publication is free of charge to authors, and no fee is paid.

A participant application and both printed and electronic copies of an article are to be submitted to the editors before April 25th, 2010 (e-mail: kiryukhina@nlb.by; aleynik@nlb.by).

The application form must include: the author’s complete name, surname and patronymic name, the author’s place of employment and (or) educational institution (the organization’s full name), office, academic degree and status, the title of an article, contact phone number and e-mail.

An article size limit is up to 10 complete pages А4, character spacing 1, type Times New Roman, type size 14 pt. The working languages are Belarusian and Russian. The list of works cited in a paper is made out in accordance with the state standard GOST 7.1-2003 "Bibliographic record. Bibliographic description”, and is placed at the end of the text; references are numbered according tothe order of citing in the text, serial numbers of references are specified inside of square brackets (for instance: [1, p. 23], [2]). An author’s CV in the Russian and English languages is applied to an article. Digital copies of illustrations are submitted to the editors as tiff, jpeg, gif, bmp, or png files with resolution 300 dpi.

Adam Shanyavsky and the library fund of the Nesvizh county school (the last quarter of the XVIII century)

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
