November 18, 2021, The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus together with the State Committee for Science and Technology is holding the annual 20th International Science and Technology Conference "Development of Informatization and the State System of Scientific and Technical Information" (RINTI-2021).

The conference RINTI-2021 is organized by the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) together with the Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support for Scientific and Technical Sphere, the Ja. Kolas Central Scientific Library of the NASB, the Republican Scientific and Technical Library of the State Committee on Science and Technology, the Belarusian State University and the National Library of Belarus.

The aim of the conference is to analyze the state and problems of informatization development (digital transformation) of economy, social sphere, state administration and STI system in the Republic of Belarus and abroad, and also the questions of working out new approaches to scientific-methodical support of informatization development and information society (IT-country, IT-state), creating information technologies and information infrastructure of Belarus.

The main areas of the Conference focus:

  1. Scientific, methodological, information, technological and legal support for the development of digital transformation.
  2. Automated systems for scientific and technical information, information support for scientific, technological and innovation activities.
  3. Library and information systems and technology. Publishing activity.
  4. Artificial intelligence and cognitive technologies in informatization.

Representatives of 41 research organizations, higher education institutions, national government bodies and business circles from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Latvia will take part in the conference. 78 reports have been presented at RINTI-2021 (62 Belarusian and 16 foreign). Among the speakers there are 24 PhDs and 33 candidates of sciences.

The beginning of the plenary session is on 18.11.2021 at 10.00.

The venue is the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, conference hall (Surhanava st., 6); Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, conference hall (Surhanava st., 15).

We present the updated virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region": on the 205th anniversary of the composer's birth

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

Dreams about Belarus at the National Library

On April 25, the National Library of Belarus hosted the opening of the exhibition "Dreams about Belarus", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 85th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of Belarus Vasily Sharangovich.
