A workshop “The use of the Research Monitor and the Passport in macroeconomic research” was held in the library, on 5 April.
The event was prepared by the National Library of Belarus in cooperation with the company Euromonitor International, which specializes in strategic economic and socio-demographic studies.
At the workshop Maxim Buslovich, the regional head of the Department of government and academic organizations, and Elena Bondarenko, the specialist in business development of the company Euromonitor International, presented to the audience an overview of the Research Monitor and Passport contents, the algorithms for their use in the study of global and regional economic and socio-demographic processes, as well as the development of macroeconomics and consumer markets.
The search and functional capabilities of the databases were described in detail, and practical advice on using received data in scientific research was offered.
The workshop was attended by users and specialists of libraries and information centers, employees of enterprises and organizations of various economic sectors, as well as representatives of scientific institutions engaged in economic and socio-demographic research.
