The National Library of Belarus is running the Reading Is the Field of Information and Knowledge Charity Campaign, which main goal is to replenish the collections of Belarusian libraries (institutions of secondary and specialized secondary education) with fiction, popular science, educational, methodical, reference, encyclopedic and other publications that have cultural significance for domestic education.

Minsk City Institute for the Development of Education has joined the good deeds marathon. The institution offers publications in which the following issues are covered:

  • innovative approaches to working with adolescents and young adults,
  • results and experience of informatization of various educational institutions of Belarus,
  • methods and technologies of specialized school education,
  • perspectives of education quality management in the capital region,
  • creation of a favorable social environment for the development of the child,
  • priorities for the development of additional adult education.

The promotion will last throughout 2019.

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
