On 22 May, at the forum “The 19th International Cyril and Methodius Lectures” Metropolitan Filaret awarded Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky the Order of St. Cyril of Turov of the 2nd Degree.
The award was given "in recognition of his assiduous work in the glory of the Church of God and for the fruitful cooperation in the promotion of spiritual literature".
At the opening of the conference Director of the Belarusian Exarchate Publishing House Vladimir Grozov made a presentation of a facsimile copy of the Gospel of Polotsk (XII century) which was prepared with the assistance of the National Library of Belarus.
In respect and appreciation Director of the National Library of Belarus gifted a digital version of the Minsk Exarchate Bulletin for 1868–1887.
Traditionally, this forum is organized by the Belarusian Orthodox Church, the Institute of Theology of the Belarusian State University, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts.
The event is dedicated to the Days of Slavic Writing and Culture.
