On 30 October 2013, at 4 p.m., a presentation of the book by Victor Korbut Minsk. The Best View of the City is to be held at the National Library of Belarus.
This edition is published by the Belarusian publishing house Zvjazda. The book is timed to the Day of the City of Minsk celebrations and includes the author’s scientific papers on the history of Minsk from the 12th to the early 21st centuries. Many of them appeared in the newspaper Sovietskaja Belorussia in 2002–2013. The author considers temples, monasteries, cemeteries and public places with their past and present as not simply architectural objects, but also through the destiny of people whose lives are connected to these buildings.
At the presentation guests will have an opportunity to meet the author of the book and persons he writes about, ask them questions and buy the book with author’s autograph.
