This event was organized within the framework of the Year of Book and timed to the Day of Knowledge.

During the presentation a welcoming speech was made by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Tadeusz Struzhetsky, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Vasily Budkevich, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Arts and Humanities of the NAS of Belarus Alexander Kovalenya, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Library of Belarus, head of the company XEROX in Belarus Alexander Shvets, Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky.

Within the framework of the presentation there was a donation of the facsimile edition "Bukvar" to the Fundamental Library of Belarusian State University, Mogilev Regional Library, the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences. In the near future the book will be donated to other libraries of the country.

The release of the facsimile edition of "Bukvar" is a great example of partnership between state and private organizations, as it is the result of a long collaboration between the National Library of Belarus and the representatives of XEROX Corporation in Belarus.

The renewed "Bukvar" is a unique monument of Enlightenment thought and spiritual culture of our nation. The facsimile re-edition "Bukvar" is recreated in such a way to save all the features of the original.
