The presentation of the electronic collection “The Book of Belarus in the 14–18th centuries” took place in the framework of the 24th Minsk International Book Trade Fair on February 10.
The electronic resource contains copies of full texts of rare and old printed documents from the funds of the National Library of Belarus published in the 14–18th centuries, which belong to Belarus according to the territory, language, author or contents.
The basis of the collection is old-printed Cyrillic books and editions in Polish, Latin and other languages.
The collection presents electronic copies of Skaryna’s editions kept in the funds of the Library, editions of Vasily Galaburda’s Vilno typography, typographies of brothers Mamonichs, Peter Mstislavets, Vasily and Maxim Voschanka and many other editions which belong to Belarusian book heritage.
The project “The Book of Belarus in the 14–18th centuries” will be interesting to researchers in the spheres of bibliography, history, pedagogics, employees of libraries, archives, museums and to everyone interested in Belarusian history and culture.
