On September 2–3, in the framework of the Day of Belarusian writing in Polotsk there is “The festival of the book and the press”, an improvised town where the history and modernity of Belarusian book is going to be widely presented.
The National Library of Belarus presents its program “Positive from Skaryna” at the children’s playground.
The festival in Polotsk is under the sign of significant for Belarusian history events: 500th anniversary of Belarusian book printing and the 1155th anniversary of Polotsk. Francysk Skaryna’s biography is connected with the town by the Western Dvina. The figure of Belarusian first printer is cental in the festive program “Positive from Skaryna”. The program includes lessons for children and their parents that are in a simple and interesting form, full of creative tasks, games and good mood.
Francysk Skaryna is one of the brightest figures of Belarusian culture. It is beyond doubt that he was a person full of optimism, new ideas, cheerfulness, energy and positive! It’s very interesting and not boring to learn something new about Skaryna. And it’s possible to experience it with “Positive from Skaryna” in Polotsk!
