The photo exhibition “Elegant China” will be opened at 18.00 at the “Rakurs” gallery on September 21.


The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus organize the event.

Sixty best works chosen from more than a thousand applications of professional photographers and amateurs from the whole country will be shown at the exhibition.

Visitors will enjoy picturesque landscapes, wonderful sunrises, marvelous architecture and lovely people of all ages. Works will render all the grace and exquisiteness of the untamable spirit of China.

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
