On May 25, a concert from the cycle "National Musical Heritage of Belarus" took place, which completed the spring season of interactive musical lectures and concerts at the National Library and simultaneously announced the program of the next season.

Works of several epochs and genres were performed by various compositions of the musical chapel of the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Thus, the choral composition presented works to music by L. Simakovich and V. Rainchik. The string quartet caused a stormy delight of the audience by playing the works of E. Gigevich, O. Kozlovsky, A. Litvinovsky.

The compositions of S. Manyushko, M.K. Aginsky, Y. Semenyaka were performed by a female vocal trio accompanied by a string quartet, as well as the soloists of the chapel – soprano and baritone – accompanied by piano. Multi-instrumentalist Ekaterina Radzivilova, as always, emotionally and soulfully performed Belarusian folk songs, accompanying the singing by playing authentic instruments (psaltery, duda). The female choir presented the Christmas carol scene "Goat" by composer Larisa Simakovich for female choir, violin and piano.

The performance of the soloists of the musical chapel was very warmly received by the audience. At the end of the concert, they approached the artists, got acquainted, talked, imbued with a warm and homely atmosphere.

We invite everyone to the next concert "Hanna, my heart, you are my love" , which will show how modern Belarusian composers, based on various reception techniques, give a "new life" to the national choral heritage. It is supposed to present a new genre of modern music – a musical illusion. Listeners will have the opportunity to learn old samples of national music and hear their processing in the works of modern composers. The meeting will take place on  September 28 at 18.30.
