On October 4–6 the National Forum "Museums of Belarus" was held in the Republic of Belarus. Representatives of the museum community of Belarus, as well as guests from abroad, came together in Brest to discuss pressing issues of museum activity, identify trends in its development and demonstrate their achievements.

The organizing committee selects a forum topic. In 2019 the theme of the forum is "Museum: Science, Innovation, Communication". As part of the exposition of the forum, the participants presented their collections, new cultural, educational, and exhibition projects, demonstrated new forms of working with visitors and using new technologies. The forum’s demonstration program included interactive, theatrical and virtual presentations of forum participants. The business programs are conducted by museum scientists and museum specialists.

Within the framework of the business program of the forum, the report "Practical seminar on the restoration and reconstruction of the Brest Library" was made by Alexander Susha, Deputy Director of the National Library of Belarus.

The main objectives of the forum are: to introduce Belarusian museums and their activities, promote innovative approaches and modern information technologies in museum business, consolidate museum communities, increase the professional skills of forum participants, develop international relations.

Adam Shanyavsky and the library fund of the Nesvizh county school (the last quarter of the XVIII century)

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
