On 15 March, within the framework of the working visit of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to the Republic of Belarus, the meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich and the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State took place at the National Library of Belarus.
A number of questions concerning the relations between Belarus and Russia were considered at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State.
On the same day, within the framework of the working visit of Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov to the Republic of Belarus, the meeting of the EURASEC Interstate Council (the Superior Body of the Custom Union) took place.
Participants of the meeting discussed the process of formation of the United Economic Space, methods of codification of the statutes of the Custom Union and the United Economic Space, the united migration policy concerning third countries, and the questions of improvement of the supranational bodies’ activity.
The negotiations resulted in the signing of cooperation treaties and agreements in the sphere of construction of a nuclear power-plant in Belarus, peaceful space exploration and parallel operation of energy systems.
