On 21 August, within the framework of a duty call to the Republic of Belarus, a Malaysia parliamentary delegation led by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Malaysian Parliament and head of the Malaysian-Belarusian Parliamentary Friendship Group Mr. Ronald Kiandee visited the National Library of Belarus.


During the excursion to the National Library of Belarus, First Deputy Director Elena Dolgopolova acquainted the guests with the history, resources and activities of the Library as an informational, social and cultural center of the country.

At the Book Museum Mr. Ronald Kiandee wrote a memorable entry to the Guests of Honor Book.

We present the updated virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region": on the 205th anniversary of the composer's birth

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

On April 25, the National Library of Belarus hosted the opening of the exhibition "Dreams about Belarus", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 85th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of Belarus Vasily Sharangovich.
