The next interactive lecture-concert of the Musical Chapel of the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus "In front of you, we sing in an old-fashioned custom" took place on October 26 in the Labyrinth Gallery.
It was dedicated to the music of Belarus of the Baroque and classicism era and was a great success. As illustrations for the lecture, secular and spiritual music by authors of the XVII-XVIII centuries, as well as works by modern Belarusian composers created in line with the processes of artistic reception of the national musical heritage were performed by a string quartet, soloists–vocalists and a choir.
The listeners took with great interest the information about the traditions of music–making in the XVII-XVIII centuries on the territory of our country, enthusiastically accepted the performance of works, and also actively participated in the practical development of samples of vocal lyrics.
We invite everyone to the next concert "Music of the Belarusian Estate", which will feature music by Belarusian composers of the romantic period. Listeners will be able to learn the pieces and take part in the performance. The meeting will take place on 30.11.2023 at 18.30.
