On September 28, another concert from the cycle "National Musical Heritage of Belarus" took place in the Labyrinth Gallery.

The musical chapel of the Centre for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus held an interactive lecture-concert "Hanna, my heart, you are my love". The focus was on understanding the modern processes in the composer's work and performance, which were presented in the creative concept of "Musical Illusion".

The lecture was held with the involvement of multimedia content (author – Anna Rusak), scenography (author – Juliana Shirmo). It was performed by a female vocal ensemble (director, choirmaster – Zhanna Filippovich) and a string quartet (director – Galina Zabyshnaya), instrumental soloists (Andrey Kirichenko, Polina Bobilina), vocalists (Alexey Apanovich, Irina Popova, Ekaterina Sergievich, Anna Didenko) and, of course, the entire composition of the Musical Chapel (artistic director – Galina Tsmyg) as illustrations, fragments of works by Elena Atrashkevich, Alexander Litvinovsky, Vladimir Kuryan, Samuel Polonsky, Yuri Semenyako, Alexey Turenkov were also performed to the words of Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, Maxim Bogdanovich, etc.

We invite everyone to the next concert "In front of you, I sing in an old-fashioned way", which will feature vocal and choral music by Belarusian composers of historical and stylistic periods of Baroque and classicism. The listeners will be able to learn some pieces and take part in the performance. The meeting will take place on 26.10.2023 at 6pm.

We present the updated virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region": on the 205th anniversary of the composer's birth

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

On April 25, the National Library of Belarus hosted the opening of the exhibition "Dreams about Belarus", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 85th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of Belarus Vasily Sharangovich.
