On September 17, 2009, an International Seminar on Digital Information Resources was held in the National Library of Belarus.
The event had been organized by the Council of libraries of Belarus on informational interaction, Committee on library stocks of the Belarusian Library Association, the National Library of Belarus and “KONEK” closed company (the Russian Federation).
More than 70 persons participated in the seminar: specialists of Belarusian libraries, scientists, professors and students.
Deputy Director for information resources of the National Library of Belarus Tatiana Kuzminich delivered a welcoming speech. Martin Dembrovsky, the representative of "Emerald Group Publishing Ltd" company, Galina Karmishenskaya, the representative of "ProQuest" company, and Elena Eronina, the head of electronic resources department of “KONEK” subscription agency delivered their papers at the seminar.
The issues of providing the access for national scientists to ProQuest databases; Emerald electronic resources on research in the field of management, finances and economy; electronic resources of Springer, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press and Oxford University Press publishing houses and the collection of electronic journals of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) were discussed during the seminar.
