On May 28 and 29, the Virtual Reading Room (VRR) of the National Library of Belarus together with the Wiley International Publishing House presented electronic information resources for scientific activities to Belarusian scientists.

Seminars were held at the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus and the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology.

Today there is a wide range of the world's leading scientific databases that provide information on various branches of knowledge. They are accessible to the Belarusian libraries and organizations-partners of the VRR. Maria Domovskaya, Vyacheslav Brichkovsky and Arthur Marudin, specialists of the National Library of Belarus, introduced the participants of the seminars to their content and possibilities of using them in domestic scientific research. Great interest among the audience was caused by the information about the open access initiative when organizing information support for innovation activities.

Features of the search for scientific information on the Wiley electronic platform for the participants of the seminars were presented by Natalia Kalitseva, representative of the Wiley publishing house in the CIS.

Access to Wiley information resources is open to all users of the National Library.
