On October 21st–24th, 2009, in Vilnius (Lithuania) was held the International conference “Books and other mass media: researches, scientists, and communications”.
The conference had been prepared by Vilnius University and was held in Academy of Sciences of Lithuania.
Known researchers of the book heritage, teachers, philologists, librarians, historians and representatives of the other humanities from 10 European states participated in the conference. The Republic of Belarus was represented by workers of National Library of Belarus (NLB) and Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts.
Leading bibliographer of the bibliology department of the NLB T.V. Solovey delivered a paper “Reconstruction of the library of Right Reverend Georgiy Konissky (materials from the stock of National Library of Belarus)” at the conference section “The hand-written book in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and neighboring countries”.
