The National Library of Belarus hosted a national open dialogue “Youth of Belarus: Reality and Prospects” with online participation of regions on June 24.
The project of the public association “Belarusian Republican Youth Union” “Open Dialogue” is a wide discussion platform that gives the youth of Belarus an opportunity to raise the most acute problems and ask questions to representatives of the authorities, politicians, entrepreneurs, public figures and nobody knows about it.
The participants in the dialogue discussed the role and place of youth in the implementation of state policy, youth initiatives, reality and prospects of the country's youth. Incredibly creative presentations of the organization's activities were made that regional Belarusian Republican Youth Union committees were able to enjoy online.
As part of the event, an agreement on cooperation between the Belarusian Republican Youth Union and the National Centre for Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus was signed.
The National Library of Belarus has prepared a book exhibition for the participants of the open dialogue. It included publications dedicated to the history of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union from the times of the USSR to modern development strategies, collections that reveal modern and relevant areas of the organization's activities: patriotic education, volunteer movement, information and image policy, project activities, student teams, cultural and leisure events and competitions. The event was held within the framework of the Year of National Unity and was timed to coincide with the national holiday – Youth Day.
