On January 31, the National Library of Belarus hosted a round table "Peculiarities of the organization of checking scientific papers for the presence of borrowings using the Antiplagiat system".
The event discussed issues of academic and publication ethics, methods and algorithms for identifying borrowings in educational and scientific works, approaches to evaluating the results obtained.
The round table was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus D.V. Kapsky, Executive Director of Antiplagiat JSC Yu.V. Chekhov, Deputy General Director – Director of Information Resources and User Services of the National Library of Belarus V.V.Pshybytko.
T.V. Yakubovskaya, Head of the Specialized Collections Service Sector of the National Library of Belarus and R.A. Muravitskaya, Head of the Scientific and Bibliographic Department for Remote Users of the I.S. Lupinovich Belarusian Agricultural Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, shared their experience of using the Antiplagiat system when checking scientific, graduate and qualification papers with those present.
In the second part of the event, I.B. Strelkova, Head of the Department of Vocational Education Technologies of the Republican Institute of Vocational Education, the official representative of Antiplagiat JSC in Belarus for training conducted a training on the use of the Antiplagiat system to identify and analyze borrowings when checking scientific, graduate and qualification papers.
