A Guest Tour Was Held in the Summer Camp “Planeta”

On July 21, a guest teaching tour of the series “Outstanding People of the Motherland” was held in the children’s recovery camp “Planeta”, located in a picturesque site of Minsk region.

The kids form Vitebsk, Minsk and Mogilev regions made a virtual journey to the National Library of Belarus and learned about the life and work of Belarusian classic Yakub Kolas.

Also the boys and girls watched the cartoon film “The Tale of Bygone Years” about the origins of the Belarusian cities’ coats of arms, performed creative tasks and solved a quiz.

The participants of the guest tour became familiarized with the books by Yanka Maur and Yakub Kolas, and then they were presented with the publications about Minsk and Minsk region from the collections of the National Library of Belarus.

At the end of the excursion everyone received a souvenir.

The National Library actively cooperates with children’s summer and recovery camps, offering free guest teaching tours of the series “Outstanding People of the Motherland”, focused on the writing of Belarusian classics Yanka Maur, Yanka Kupala and Yakub Kolas.
