A holiday event “A book house” timed to the Day of Libraries was conducted in the Children’s room, on 14 September.
On the holiday the kids were able to touch the “book diamond” named the Library. They enjoy a crossword “Francysk Skaryna, the Belarusian printing pioneer”, competed in puzzle solving, recited verses, and then all together they made a Reading Man.
At the end of the holiday each participant received as a gift a mini-book with the portrait of Francysk Skaryna.

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
