An exhibition dedicated to Belarusian scientists who participated in the Great Patriotic War has been organized in the Scientific Reading Room (room 206) on the occasion of the Day of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders from 2 to 15 July.

Scientists of Belarus were bringing the Great Victory closer by creating new models of military equipment, means of protection, methods of treating the wounded and bravely fought in deep underground, partisan detachments and on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. The further the war goes in history, the clearer is their true patriotism in the struggle for the freedom and independence of the Motherland.

The exhibition presents the memories of veterans about the ordeals during the hard times of war and biographical materials of scientists who participated in the war, who glorified Belarus with their scientific activities.

The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the library’s opening hours.
Admission is by the library card or by the Social and Cultural Centre ticket.
