On March 2nd, at 5 p.m. in the gallery “Rakurs” takes place the grand opening of the art exhibition “The Still Life” dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the eminent Belarusian artist, Ivan Khrutsky.
Still-life is one of the most popular genres. Many artists begin their creative way with this genre, for some of them it becomes a favorite, and they constantly develop their skill of a still-life artist.
Ivan Khrutsky was the greatest master of still-life of the XIX century. His spectacular compositions with an insubstantial effect were tremendously popular. The artist had a lot of followers that undoubtedly promoted the development of the genre.
The offered exhibition presents painting, graphics, photo, ceramics and batik. About 60 artists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Armenia, Great Britain, Ireland, Latvia, Poland and France participate in the event.
The exhibition “The Still Life” will be open in the galleries “Rakurs”, “Labyrinth” and “Atrium” from March 2nd to April 15th, 2010.
