On 5 June, within the framework of the Year of Book, the opening ceremony of the exhibition of Natalya Slushko’s graphic art was held in the National Library of Belarus.


Head of the gallery and exhibition division and chairman of the International Guild of Painters Fyodor Yastreb, designer Irina Dorokhova, and professor at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts Irina Melnik made welcoming speeches at the event. Singer Natalya Tamelo dedicated an author’s song to the memory of the artist.

Natalya Slushko was born in 1973. She studied at an art lyceum, then – at an art college. She graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts and acquired a profession of an interior designer. When she was 25 years old, she was diagnosed with a serious genetic disease, and on 9 February, 2011, the young girl was gone.

The exhibition presents more than 50 works creates in different years. Natalya’s drawings are an original world of kindness, light, children’s frankness and the warmest feelings.

The graphic art exhibition is located in the gallery “Rakurs” and runs till 17 June, 2012.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
