On June 15th, the exhibition "Contemporary Art of Pakistan" was opened.

The exhibition introduces the original culture, unique heritage, and ancient traditions of the eastern country. The art of Pakistan is a complex interweaving of original cultures, traditions and customs of dozens of ethnic groups inhabiting the country, its thousand-years history and bold modern experiments.

The exhibition features works by prominent Pakistani artists. Calligraphy of Aisha Kamal is different by amazing details and accuracy. Her works are full of lace beauty and sophisticated energy of life; they are full of colors, shades, shapes, symbols and metaphors. Syed Sadekwain is an artist and a writer; the author of thousands unique works recognized all over the world. His complicated art looks, symphony of colors, harmony of light shades, planned composition, philosophic subjects, and non-ordinary scenarios attract viewers by its actuality beyond the time. The works of Narin Sajid feature bright colors, symbolic and allegoric deepness, unusual matchings and contrasts of looks. In the pictures of one of the best photographers of Pakistan Hamid Hussain — the country is presented in its touristic magnificence. Fascinating views over the cities and famous mountain tops, lake sceneries, trespass routs, architectural sightseeing allow to attract viewers by an exotic beauty of Pakistan.

The Exhibition was opened by the Deputy Director General of the National Library of Belarus Viktar Pshybytka, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Belarus Sajad Hajder Han, Head of the Main Department of Asia, Africa and Latin America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Igor Bely; an artist, a calligrapher and an author of the works presented at the exposition Aisha Kamal.

During the event the ceremony of handing over as a gift to the National Library of Belarus about 30 publications related to history, traditions, religion, art of Pakistan, as well as art, children and reference literature about the Eastern country. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Belarus Sajad Hajder Han presented a pleasant gift.

Nina Pruzhnikova supported a warm atmosphere by a musical composition "Sanu ek Pal chain naaway" [‘I can not be without you even a second], "Tumhen dil lagi bhool jaani padegi" [‘If you truly fell in love, you will forget about hobbies’], "Sohni dharti" [‘My magic land’], Tatiana Kremis "Kahan ho tum chale aao" [‘Where are you? Go to me’] and Vladislava Troshko.

The event took part within the framework of the 75th-anniversary of the Indedependance Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

It will be possible to visit the exposition, imagine exotic Pakistan mentally, feel its color, depth, innovation and loyalty to traditions in the Atrium Gallery (third floor) until July 6th, 2022.
The closing date can be changed.

The opening hours of the Exhibition corresponds to the opening hours of the Library.
The entry is by a
reader’s ticket or by a ticket for social and cultural center.

Adam Shanyavsky and the library fund of the Nesvizh county school (the last quarter of the XVIII century)

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
