On 19 June, a grand opening of the 3rd Minsk International Biennale of modern painting “COLORFEST” was held in the gallery "Rakurs".
The welcoming speech was said by director of the National Library of Belarus, Ph.D., Professor R. Motulsky; Head of the Gallery and Exhibition Division of the National Library of Belarus and chairman of the International Guild of Painters Fyodor Yastreb; chairman of internationaljury, Belarusian people’s artist Gavriil Vashchenko; arts critic Larisa Finkelshtain; artist Yevgeny Shuneiko. The members of the dance theatre Otrazheniya from the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics showed their performance.
The International Biennial of modern painting has been organized for the third time. The participants of the event were artists from Ukraine, Belarus, Estonia, Moldova, Latvia, Lithuania and Palestine. The special guest is Venezuela. This art project demonstrates new tragedies and techniques of modern painting.
The pictures of the Biennale can be seen by visitors in galleries “Rakurs” (2nd floor), “Atrium” and “Labyrinth” (3rd floor) till 10 September, 2012.
