Gennady Alexandrovich's creative heritage is multifaceted and covers various genres: chamber and instrumental music, concerts for trumpet, trombone, domra, balalaika with orchestra, vocal and choral compositions, symphonies and much more. The composer's style is characterized by a pronounced national flavor, unusual melody and lyricism. His music is permeated with Belarusian intonations, in his work he repeatedly turned to folk instruments, to Belarusian poetry, praised the beauty of nature of his native land.
A significant place in the music of Gennady Ermochenkov is occupied by works for cymbals, an instrument that, according to the composer, is a symbol of the soul of the Belarusian people. He found new expressive and pictorial possibilities of cymbals and significantly expanded the repertoire framework of cymbalists. For more than 20 years, Gennady Alexandrovich was the head of the famous Belarusian folk instruments ensemble "Vedritsa" in Belarus and abroad.
The exhibition presents musical editions of the jubilee's compositions: "Crane Song" for a mixed ensemble of folk instruments and piano, "Polessky Chime" for French horn and piano, a fresco painting for the ensemble of cymbals and piano "The Land of Storks", a suite for the ensemble of cymbals "From the Past of Nesvizh" and others.
