On November 14, the opening of the first book and documentary exhibition from the cycle dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the country from the Nazi invaders took place.
The purpose of the joint project of the National Library of Belarus and the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus is to show the chronicle of liberation, the importance of this event for the Belarusian population, the formation of historical consciousness and the education of patriotism among contemporaries.
In the first part of the planned large-scale exhibition, the theme of the liberation of our country from the Nazi invaders from September to December 1943 is revealed. The events are shown from the modern Belarusian and Russian historians, journalists, researchers of museums and archives of Belarus and Russia point of view.
Different historians, archivists took part in the event and some poetic lines from the works of Belarusian poets were performed.
The exhibition runs in the ring gallery of the 3rd floor until December 31, 2024.
The completion date of its work can be changed.
The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the Library opening hours.
Admission is by a library card or by the social and cultural center ticket.
