We invite you to the exhibition "Thy name is Mother" in the Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Department Reading Room (room 164) from October 7 to October 29.

The mother is the most important person in everyone's life. "Mom" is the very first word of a child. There's so much warmth and comfort in that short word with a lot of meaning! The role of the mother cannot be assessed or measured. She guides us firmly and confidently into life, teaches us, protects us and loves us immensely, genuinely cheering our successes and feeling sorry for our misfortunes.

A great deal of art is dedicated to women as mothers: paintings, sculptures, films, songs and, of course, works of literature. Many of them can be found in the book exhibition " Thy Name is Mother", which features works of fiction and popular science publications about mothers and motherhood.

Exhibition open hours:
Mon – Th. 10.00–19.00,
Fri 10.00–18.00,
Sat, Sun – day off.

Admission is by the library card or by the Social and Cultural Centre ticket.

The books presented at the exhibition can be ordered through the electronic catalogue of the National Library of Belarus.
