An exhibition “On the Raft of My Years...” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Belarusian writer, poet, publicist, artist Nikolai Busko is held in the Belarusian Literature Reading Room (room 205) from September 1 to November 11.
Nikolai Busko is an adherent of the traditional classical manner of writing. Confessionality, sincerity and imagery characterize his poetry; his poems depict pictures of nature, the realities of his small homeland; the heroes of prose are ordinary people endowed with a sense of duty and justice.
The exposition presents books of poetry by N. Busko "On the Shoulders of Neman", "Constellation of Libra"; a collection of stories, novellas, essays, including on the works of V. Zhilka, A. Rymsha – "The Trails of September"; books for children “From a Twig to a Bough, Spider has a Telephone", “Six-Wing Khmaragon”, “Beaver Science”, “Friends in a Pine Forest”, “Forest Wonders”; thematic collections and periodicals with the writer's works; the book by the Belarusian poet Ales Milyuta "Furrow Poetry", designed by Busko the artist; literature with biographical information about the author.
