On September 26 an international scientific round table will be held in the Library within the framework of the "Belarus and the Bible" exhibition project.

The problematic field of the discussion:
1. The influence of the Bible on the culture and philosophical thought of Belarus.
2. Biblical publications in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 16th–18th centuries.
3. Distribution of the Bible on the territory of Belarus in the 19th–beginning of the 21st century.
4. The Bible in the Belarusian cultural space at the present time.

The honorary guests of the scientific event will be Dr. Bruce Anderson, historian of theology of the Oxford Center for Mission Studies, and Scott Carroll, director of the Manuscript Research Group, researcher of ancient manuscripts.

The meeting will begin at 11.00 in the Educational Technologies room (3rd floor, room 346).

The Belarussian literature reading room (room 205) is running a book exhibition “Belarus. 19421-1945: Feat. Tragedy. Memory” dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus from July 2 to September 4.

The library has arranged a book-documentary exhibition “The route of brevity and fame,” dedicated to the Victory Day which our country celebrates on May 9th. This event receives specific significance on celebration of the Year of Historical Memory and on the 100th anniversary of the National Library of Belarus.
