How to prevent gas escape

Remember, you are responsible for serviceability of the gas equipment in your apartment. Any gas device on sale should be supplied with the service instruction. The person installing the device is obliged to give you the document certifying, that works have been made in conformity with technical regulations and safety rules.

Flexible hoses should be short (no more than 2 meters long). Make sure that they are put densely on the valve. The maximal life time of a flexible hose is four years (the deadline of storage can be marked on a hose), but to make assurance, replace it every two years. The binding clip should provide full hermetic sealing, but do not try to clamp it too tight as it can break through a hose and cause gas escape.

Burning gas burns oxygen, therefore it is necessary to provide constant ventilation in premises. Do not plug up ventiducts in winter.
