The Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus, the International press center of the library hosted a seminar "ETALON-ONLINE: Legal information without Borders" on March 15.
The event was organized by the National library of Belarus and the National center for legal information, a central state scientific and practical institution that ensures the functioning and development of the state legal system.
Anna Novik, a senior specialist in the division of distribution and user relations for the legal information distribution division of the National centre for legal information of the Republic of Belarus, spoke at the conference.
The presentation was devoted to the creation and functioning of the state legal information system. The participants got acquainted with the leading legal Internet resources of our country, such as the National legal internet portal of the Republic of Belarus, children's legal website, legal forum of the Republic of Belarus, information and search engines "ETALON" and "ETALON-ONLINE".
Following that, a training session on using the ETALON-ONLINE information and search engine was held. The participants studied the algorithms of navigation and search, and have operated the resource content.
The event was attended by users and employees of the National Library, as well as colleagues from the Presidential library of the Republic of Belarus.
Access to the ETALON-ONLINE information and search engine, as well as to other electronic information resources containing up-to-date legal information, is open to all users of the library in the legal information hall.
