On August 15 and 16 a virtual tour in the framework of the "Outstanding People of the Motherland" took place at the "Polytechnic" recreation camp, located in a picturesque part of the Minsk region.

The children could know interesting facts about the National Library of Belarus in an interactive form, learn more about the life and work of Vladimir Korotkevich, virtually look into those parts of our country with which the life of the writer was connected.

Girls and boys watched the animated film “Tale of Bygone Years” about the history of the origin of the emblems of the cities of Minsk and Rogachev, took an active part in performing creative tasks and answered all the quiz questions.

A book review of the works of Vladimir Korotkevich of different years, as well as publications about Minsk, Rogachev, Orsha from the collections of the National Library were presented to the attention of the guests.

At the end of the tour everyone has got a gift.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
