The National Library hosted "The World is Beautiful with Mother's Love" concert timed to coincide with Mother's Day and the Feast of the Intercession of the Theotokos on October 14.

Mr Dzmitry Shashok, Head of the Piershamajski District Administration of Minsk congratulated lovely ladies on these holidays and wished them boundless happiness, joy and creative inspiration.

To honour the most important women in everyone's life, Anhielina Jarashchuk, Dyjana Dolhaja, Mikhail Puzyrou, and the Belarusian State Academic Honoured Choreographic Ensemble "Kharoshki" (artistic director Valiantsina Hajeva) gave their concert.

The National Library of Belarus Expands Cooperation with the Republic of Bashkortostan

Within the framework of the visit of an official delegation from Bashkortostan to Belarus on December 6, Ms Natalya Lapshina, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Mr Marat Zulkarnaev, Acting Director of the Ahmet Zeki Velidi National Library, and Mr Artur Alibakov, Director General of the Republican Centre of Folk Arts of the Republic of Bashkortostan, attended the National Library.

Looking for Joy

A literary and visual exhibition "Looking for Joy" dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the birth of the Russian painter and representative of Russian impressionism Konstantin Korovin (1861–1939) is on show in the Fine Arts Reading Room (room 306) from December 3 to January 10.
