On January 27th in the National Library of Belarus took place a collegium meeting of the Ministry of Culture of Belarus “On fulfillment of the branch program “Preservation and development of culture of the Republic of Belarus for 2006–2010” and objectives of cultural institutions for 2010”.
At the meeting participants summed up the work of the Ministry of Culture and the lower organizations for the last year; heads of cultural institutions, local governmental bodies and regional cultural administrative bodies delivered their reports.
The urgent issues and ways of development of museums, libraries, theatres, music, cinema and other fields of culture were discussed.
Within the framework of the event, cultural workers who had contributed to development of the national culture and the trade union movement of Belarus received the State and special rewards.
