On May 14th, 2010, within the framework of the visit of President of the Socialistic Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Minh Triet to the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian-Vietnamese business-forum was held at the National Library of Belarus.
The event had been prepared by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Embassy of the Socialistic Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Belarus.
President of the Socialistic Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Minh Triet welcomed participants of the forum.
The basic purposes of the forum were the development and strengthening of business relations with Vietnamese investors, search of business partners among Vietnamese businessmen and consideration of cooperation projects.
Within the framework of the event some bilateral treaties and contracts were signed and negotiations between businessmen from the Vietnamese delegation and representatives of Belarusian enterprises and organizations were held.
Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky welcomed President Nguyen Minh Triet. During a panoramic excursion of the National Library of Belarus the Vietnamese President familiarized himself with the Library’s activities, its architectural features and interior design.
At the Book Museum the guest viewed the collection of rarities from the collection of the National Library of Belarus whereupon President Nguyen Minh Triet wrote a memorable entry to the Guests of Honor Book.
