The Outstanding People of the Motherland, the National Library’s teaching tours, acquaint with the life and work of prominent Belarusians.

On March 21, students from China and Vietnam, enrolled in master’s degree at the BSU Institute of Journalism, made a teaching tour to the library, focused on the life and career of Francysk Skaryna. They chose this tour as the first Belarusian printer’s biography is laid down in the curriculum.

With great interest the students read a passage from Francysk Skaryna’s Bible in the Chinese and Vietnamese languages. In the Book Museum, they saw the originals of the first Belarusian printer’s publications. An interactive panel acquainted them with Skaryna’s life and his book publishing activities. At the end of the tour, the guests got up to the observation deck and admire the capital of Belarus at the bird's-eye view.

We invite you to the Outstanding People of the Motherland Teaching Tours, which acquaint with the life and work of Francysk Skaryna, Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, Maxim Bogdanovich, Kandrat Krapiva, Mikhas Zaretsky, Vladimir Karatkevich, Yanka Maur.
