The National Library of Belarus hosted a seminar "ProQuest Electronic Resources in Information Support for Science and Education" on May 18.

The seminar was organized by the National Library of Belarus, the ProQuest company and the METEK subscription agency.

The event was opened by Tatiana Kuzminich, Deputy Director of the National Library of Belarus for Information Resources.

Anna Trifonova, the head of ProQuest regional projects, presented the main products and services of the company: ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global, the world's largest universal full-text collection of theses, databases of scientific periodicals in various thematic areas, the ProQuest Ebook Central platform of scientific e-books, thematic scientific collections of video materials on the Alexander Street platform.

The Belarusian scientists received the recommendations and an algorithm for placing dissertations in the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global database.

The seminar was attended by researchers, doctoral students, graduate students and undergraduates, representatives of the medical sphere, staff of libraries and information centers.

Access to the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global database is open to users of the National Library of Belarus.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
