On September 17, the presentation of books of the USA Library of Congress to the National Library of Belarus took place at the gallery “Labyrinth” of the National Library of Belarus.
The event had been prepared by the National Library of Belarus and the USA Embassy if the Republic of Belarus.
The USA Library of Congress presented to the National Library of Belarus about 1 000 American editions in the English, Spanish and German languages. The Library received scientific monographs and popular publications on the cultural history, art and architecture of the USA.
Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Victor Kurash, the US chargé d’affaires pro tempore in Belarus Michael Scanlon and director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky participated in the event.
