A creative meeting with the winners of presidential awards and a festive concert "Ode to Courage", dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day was held on February 20 in the Library.

A meeting with those who spiritually strengthens our Native Land is taking place in the main socio-cultural and information center of the country for 10 years. These are laureates of the Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "For Spiritual Revival" and the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus to cultural and art workers.

Artists of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the creative team of the former juvenile fascist prisoners "Sudby" of Pervomaisky District are honored this year in the Library. Their leaders told about the activities of organizations and projects for which presidential awards were awarded.

At the beginning of the year, the Academic ensemble celebrated its 80th anniversary. The award became a pleasant gift for it. The team received the award for the implementation of the patriotic project "We serve the Fatherland". The ensemble gave concerts in the regional capitals, district centers, military units and houses of culture.

For more than five years, members of the choir have been telling in their songs about the events of the Great Patriotic War not only in Belarus, but also in the cities of Austria, Kazakhstan, Russia, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, Estonia.

The Director of the National Library of Belarus, Roman Motulsky, thanked the laureates for their fruitful and dedicated work, congratulated them on their well-deserved awards and wished them success on their creative path.

The concert responded in the hearts of spectators. Creative performances captivated the audience with depth and sincerity. Through patriotic poems, songs and dances, the artists spoke about the value of life, resistance, courage and heroism of the defenders. The names of the heroes, their exploits and military traditions are passed down from generation to generation and serve as proof of the people’s readiness for the selfless defense of the Native Land.

During the event, the library presented a book-illustrative exhibition "Big talent, big work, big heart", dedicated to the laureates of the President of the Republic of Belarus Prize "For Spiritual Revival", the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus to cultural and art figures and the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "Belarusian Sports Olympus 2018". The exhibition presents books, catalogs, booklets, articles from periodicals, visual materials from the library funds: all about the winners of last year.


You can see the exhibition until April 17, 2019 at the exhibition space of the 2nd floor.

The end date of the exhibition can be changed.

The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
