On May 19 and 20, the Stayki Republican Center of Olympic Training hosted the final round of the 12th Republican Sports and Athletics Meeting for workers of culture and arts.
The big sport event gathered together those who not only work in the field of culture and arts but also are experts in sports and fitness. Fans and support groups welcomed the teams from Minsk, regional and republican organizations within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus.
On the sports days, participants competed in mini-football, volleyball, table tennis and cross-country race. The competitions in darts, kettlebell lifting and rope pulling were especially exciting.
The team of the National Library of Belarus was good at the following sports:
- Aleksey Voznyuk, a driver at the Logistical Support Department, took a third place in kettlebell lifting;
- Elena Dolgopolova, the first deputy director for user service and ideology, took a third place in darts;
- Valery Antonov, the head of the ABIS supporting sector of the Data Processing Department, took a third place in table tennis.
The representatives of the library showed a nice result taking a sixth place in team scoring.
Though not everyone won in the competition, this fact did not ruin the good mood on the playgrounds. After all, active outdoor recreation plus excitement and competition spirit are always a guaranteed charge of vigor and positive mood!
