On November 29, an original display opened in the library. The whole creative way of artist Vladimir Khin (Providokhin), starting from the 1970s, is presented at the "Estamp" exhibition.
“It’s not even the engraving itself that is important, but the state of thought, soul, and heart at the time of its birth on earth in a new capacity ...” Vladimir Khin, artist, graphic artist.
As planned by the master, the exposition is designed to manifest the unique opportunities of black-and-white and color engraving from one board, such as the linear-graphic structure, local color spot and black-and-white relations, emotional beginning, ambiguity of compositional decisions, text in the engraving and much more.
The head of the Gallery and Exhibition department, Olga Davidovich, thanked Vladimir Khin for cooperation and wished the master every success at the ceremonial opening of the exhibition.
The art critic, head of the Design Department of the Faculty of Arts, the Modern Knowledge Institute named after Shhirokov, member of the Belarusian Union of Artists Leonid Dyagilev; artist, member of the Belarusian Union of Artists Anatoly Kuznetsov; Belarusian art historian, art critic, art director of the “Brama” nonprofit conceptual gallery, member of the Belarusian Union of Artists and the Belarusian Union of Designers Larisa Finkelstein, and graphic artist, poet and chair of the Belarusian Union of Artists, Grigory Sitnitsa shared their impressions of the exhibition.
Vladimir Khin told the guests about the main goal and objectives of the exhibition, and shared the experience from his many years’ practice.
The exhiibotion will run until January 20, 2019, in the gallery “Atrium” (3rd floor).
The closing date may be changed.
The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the library’s opening hours.
