An art exhibition "Art-Minsk-2021" started in the Atrium Gallery of the National Library of Belarus within the framework of the same-name art festival on September 21.

The Library joined the art festival for the fourth time. As in previous years, "Art-Minsk" united several exhibition venues of the city, turning them into one large and vibrant space.

The rich exhibition at the National Library showcases the best and most original works of modern Belarusian fine art. The guests saw the works of artists of different generations and worldviews, united by creative energy and performing talent.

Ms Aksana Knizhnikava, Director General of the National Library of Belarus, Ms Natalja Sharanhovich, First Deputy Chairperson of the Public Association "Belarusian Union of Artists", Mr Andrej Basalyha, Deputy Chairperson of the Public Association "Belarusian Union of Artists" in charge of creative work, graphic artist, and Mr Aliaksandr Zimienka, Director of the Centre for Fine and Media Art "New Cultural Initiative" attended the event.

The organizers and partners of the exhibition were the National Library of Belarus, the Belarusian Union of Artists, the Republic Art Gallery (Palace of Art).

The exhibition will run until November 1.
The end date is subject to change.

The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the library’s opening hours.
Admission is by the library card or by the Social and Cultural Centre ticket.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
