The international seminar "Restoration of documents from the Great Patriotic War" will be held within the framework of the professional development program "Cultural heritage as the basis of intercultural dialogue.Preservation Strategies in Russia and Belarus"
On April 22, 2024, the National Library of Belarus will host events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders. The event is organized by the National Library of Belarus and the All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature named after M.I. Rudomino.
The program will include an international round table "Restoration of documents from the Great Patriotic War", where specialists from libraries in Belarus and Russia will share their professional experience in the field of restoration and preservation of library documents, and two master classes: "Restoration of a newspaper from the Great Patriotic War on a leaf-filling machine" (National Library of Belarus), "Restoration of a handwritten letter from the Great Patriotic War" (All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature named after M.I. Rudomino).
