On January 31, at 16:00, the Labyrinth gallery of the National Library of Belarus will host a presentation of the memoirs of the People's Writer of Belarus Nikolai Cherginets.
Nikolay Cherginets is a Belarusian politician, national writer of Belarus, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Belarus, honorary citizen of Minsk, winner of international prizes, state awards of the USSR, the Republic of Belarus and other countries. Nikolai Ivanovich is the author of more than 50 works of fiction, several scripts and plays. His books have been translated into many languages of the world: Azerbaijani, English, French, Turkish, Persian, Spanish, Tajik and others. The total circulation of the books is more than 7 million copies.The writer will present 4 books from the cycle of autobiographical novels "Difficult Roads of Life", as well as share the facts of his rich biography, which will be included in the next editions.
The books are of great interest to modern readers. The author tells about his fate, about how his independent life began. The pages of his memoirs are filled with memories of his family and the trials that his family and friends endured during the Nazi occupation of Minsk.
An exhibition-viewing about the writer's life and creative path based on the materials of the National Library of Belarus has been prepared for the event. In addition, the author will present rare copies of his books from his personal archive.
The presentation will be attended by writers, young people, as well as the main characters of books with whom Nikolai Cherginets walked through life together.
