The exhibition "The New Year is rushing towards us ..." runs from December 11 to January 18 in the reading room of the interlibrary and individual subscription (room 164).
Winter is the most magical time of the year. With the sparkling snow, faith in the fairy tale returns to us and the desire for miracles awakens. We look forward to the New Year, confident that "everything will happen soon" – secret desires will come true and even the most incredible dreams will come true.
The books presented at the exhibition will tell you how to fill the house with mood and magic in the New Year, choose a New Year's outfit, make souvenirs and decorate the Christmas tree with your own hands, set the festive table and, of course, how to express love and give warmth to family and friends.
The exposition will also lift the veil of mystery of New Year's characters, introduce the estate of the Belarusian Santa Claus, the creator of the wonderful Belarusian winter, and tell about the winter holiday traditions of Belarusians.
The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the working hours of the interlibrary loan and individual subscription reading room.
